The Hand of God is a deeply personal painting inspired by my own experiences and my encounter with God during times of hardship and struggle.
In the painting, the top right-hand corner shows Jesus reaching out His hand towards me, offering His help and protection from the troubles caused by evil. On the left-hand side, evil is represented by the serpent, symbolising the challenges, temptations, and struggles that I have faced.
Just as the serpent is about to strike, Jesus reaches out His hand, lifting me away from danger and saving me from being overcome by the forces of darkness. This moment represents faith, hope, and the belief that God is always present, even in the most difficult times.
At the bottom right of the painting, a scripture lies open on the grass with the words, “I am with you always.” These words represent the promise of Jesus and serve as a reminder that God’s presence, guidance, and love remain with us through every trial we face.
This is why I have titled the painting “The Hand of God” — a reflection of my personal journey, my faith, and the moment when I felt God’s hand reaching out to save me.
